For the last two seasons, the world’s premium wedding couturier Vera Wang has been creating gowns for brides that want to ditch the time honored all-white route for a more bold and daring choice of colors. Wang has surprised one and all with her Fall 2012 bridal collection in a striking black and nude shades which was followed up by an even more unexpected Spring 2013 collection that was marked by an extensive use of crimson and dahlia. However, for her Fall 2013 Bridal Runway Vera Wang returns to doing what she does best and has presented an array of pristine white wedding gowns.

Bursting at the seams with romantic ornamentation, the collection was Wang’s own take on classicism and celebrated the history of the white wedding gown. The romance and femininity of the collection emphasized dreaminess with airy designs in an array of materials and textures. Styled similarly to tulle, textured organza skirts were crafted in full ball gown styles as well as mermaid styles that were complimented with clavicle embellishment on the high lace necklines.

The strapless dresses were paired with tulle collars to take the place of jewelry. The collection is designed for the more traditional minded bride who doesn’t want to deviate too far away from tradition but wants her bridal gown to reflect the modernity of her personality as well.
