Swimmable Mermaid Tail makes two-piece bikinis look dated

Summertime is all about hitting the pool or the lake or the beach alone or with friends and family and enjoying plunge and splashes. Though safety gear is high on one’s priority for all kinds of water activities, expert swimmers often invest in aides that allow them to swim faster like wet suits, snorkels and swimming flippers. However, swimming gear doesn’t always need to be fugly and repulsive to look at and the Swimmable Mermaid Tail by designer Monika Naumann illustrates how.

The attention-drawing suit is fashioned out of a water-repellent durable swim material that makes it superbly aquadynamic as well as easy to move around in. each custom made piece is designed to fit the wearer perfectly with the texture exterior skin of the suit resembling a real fish tail. The luminescent skin of the mermaid swim suit also allows the wearer to glow in the dark and in the water.

The designer has not enclosed any instructions on how one is supposed to get in the suit and how does one traverse the route to the pool or the lake or the sea while getting in and out of the water. But we guess that’s just something that the wearers would have to learn on their own and everyone can develop their own version of the “mermaid on land” walk. Each Swimmable Mermaid Tail costs around $250 which may be a little steep for most wannabe princesses trying to live out their “Disney’s Little Mermaid” fantasies from their childhood.
