Hamburg, Germany-based photographer Jessica Prautzsch used the classic children's story ‘Secret Garden’ by Frances Hodgson Burnett to create a stunning photo series. Using a series of photographs, the photographer retells the story of an orphaned British girl Mary Lennox whose interaction with her secret garden leads her to learning the true meaning of friendship as well as the value of selflessness.

Even though the photo series is a lot more superficial than the lesson taught by the classic children’s story, it uses a number of bright flowers and pastel color accents to contrast with lush green foliage to create a powerful visual impact. The tale of Mary Lennox is played by brunette model Isabell Schnaubelt who captures the aura of the fictional beauty perfectly while the wardrobe put together by stylist extraordinaire Ninja Walther brings out the essence of the classic tale fittingly.
Contemporary and youthful, the incredibly feminine wardrobe is outright whimsical though betrays a distinct wearability. Floral tops paired with almost see-through flowy skirts present a pastoral impact while a floral print on a dark jacket makes a perfect pairing for a bright ensemble. For the photo series, the model was made up by Mina Derakhshani who used pink blush lavishly to create a turn-of-the-century look while braided updos gave the model an added aura of innocence.
