During the 2011 Emmys, Hollywood diva Gwyneth Paltrow gave us the hint about the latest Spring/ Summer trend! She wore a sexy black ensemble with a cropped top that gained accolades from fashion critics. The designers too realized that cropped tops could boost your attractiveness. And so, they decide to give a dare to all fashion conscious females by showcasing cropped tops in their collections. From casual cropped t-shirts to daring bra tops, and evening cropped outfits, crop tops are ruling the runway. So, hit the gyms, have a flat tummy and get ready to bare some skin!

Spring/ Summer 2012 collection is full of cropped tops. Designers have stepped out of their comfort zones. They have experimented with several styles, several fabrics, different prints and unique patterns. D&G's latest collection includes colorful prints in cropped tops and bra tops that are ideal for holidaying. Blumarine has kept their cropped tops quite simple and comfortable. Preen experimented with rainbow colors to bring on cropped tops that you can wear for an evening event. Holly Fulton's tops weren't too cropped, so women who are conscious about their waists can also wear them. Emilio Pucci went on Paltrow's guidelines and incorporated cropped tops in evening wear. John Richmond gave an all new dimension to cropped tops by bringing in bra tops along with blazers. Now, if you are daring, you can wear them to your office. Versace's cropped tops were quite elegant.

Problem pairing up the cropped top

Cropped tops require a lot of confidence and fashion sense. They can look really sexy on some women, but if they aren't paired correctly, you might end up looking disastrous. Follow these tips to eliminate the problem of pairing up your cropped top.

1. Length

Before deciding about how you are going to pair your top, decide on the length of your top. You can select something on the basis of your tummy and how much experimenting you can get. If you feel that you are not confident enough to carry out this look, then try a top that shows minimal of your stomach. The ones ready to flaunt their tummy can opt for the one that bares their belly. Females new to this trend can choose the one that grazes the top of their jeans.

2. Pick wisely

Choose your rest of the look wisely. A high waist bottom paired with a top crop can limit the amount of your skin. A bra top would look nice on hot pants or skinny jeans. A simple, sophisticated cropped top can look good with tight skirts. Select a simple pattern, neutral design cropped top with a bottom if you want to look classy for a date. Pair short cropped tops or baggy cropped tops with shorts for casual day out.

3. Experiment

You can pair your cropped tops with tube tops if you feel uncomfortable flaunting your skin. You can also add colorful cropped tops to your swimwear if you are ready to go to the beach. Just make sure that the cropped top is made to suit the swimwear and is above the belly.
