Any fashionista worth her expensive wardrobe gets to see her fair share of whacky and out there designs doing the rounds of the blogosphere every day but we have to say that this pair of Bi-Color Suede Ankle-Strap Boots really would knock the socks off most women! A Prada original, the knee high boots are designed to create the illusion that the wearer is walking around in just a pair of strappy black high heels baring her legs even in the coldest weather.
We’re not sure how many women would want to have people thinking that the skin of her legs has the same texture as suede but for women who worship all things Prada, the shoe could be the ultimate must have pair for this Fall/Winter season. The other major problem that we think most women wearing this pair of boots might encounter is the problem of skin tone. Sure, the boots are “supposed” to give off the semblance of bare skin from the knee down to the ankle but we seriously doubt that too many women would be able to match the actual color of the skin on their legs with the faux flesh tones that the boots are offered in.
On the plus side, the suede novelty boots are knee high and can be paired with short shorts, miniskirts or even fancy dress costumes to produce a rather garish effect by the time Halloween madness rolls into town. At $1,500 a pair, the Prada Bi-color Suede Ankle Strap Boot is also not the cheapest option for one’s wardrobe this Fall/Winter but somehow we do see the boots getting a huge fan following in Japan and parts of East Asia!
