In August 2007, Saks Fifth Avenue’s flagship Manhattan store unveiled a new eighth floor shoe department which received the zip code of 10022-SHOE. The store’s shoe department recently underwent a redesigning and has been dubbed ‘10022 on Eight’. Many noted designers have flocked to the store to present their new collections for the upcoming season and the latest one to do so is Pierre Hardy. The Parisian designer stopped by the store for a meet and greet and presented his Fall/Winter 2013 collection as well.

The designer described his winter collection as a line that is feminine, warm and cozy which would make women feel sophisticated, confident and strong. At the event, Hardy mingled with shoe lovers, industry experts and fans and surprised guests by presenting them with a personalized sketch to go with their personal Hardy heels. The collection boasts of a few style classics though as usual with all Hardy collections, statement pieces dominate.
Quite a few shoes in the collection are offered in colorblock schemes in keeping with the big style trend this season. Suede is the predominant material used in the new collection which is abundant with wedge heels and platforms. Even though there are just a handful of patent leather numbers in the collection, they stand out with their classic silhouettes. Pierre Hardy’s 2013 Fall/Winter collection is currently available at the 10022-Shoe on Eight shoe department at Saks Fifth Avenue.
