Sometimes even the trendsetters can’t refrain themselves from committing critical fashion crimes. The recent example was displayed by the stylish TV personality, Kelly Osbourne at the red carpet of the 2012 Art of Elysium Heaven Gala. Being the Fashion Police presenter herself, we had our expectations high with Kelly Osbourne. But, her deadening take on fashion made us gasp for a while.

For her unsuccessful attempt in impersonating a perfect gothic appearance, Kelly has scored her a thumbs down from the fashion and style intellectuals. Let’s take a detailed look on her miss-hit ensemble:

The miss-hit ensemble
The 27-year-old glam diva stepped out in a gothic ensemble at the red carpet that will certainly be remembered for a long time. Not because her dress was immensely seductive and appealing, but because her dress was the perfect amalgamation of every fashion faux pas.
All the glamor and feminine touch were lost underneath the clumps of what she called a monochrome maxi gown. The gown, however, would have survived the criticized scrutiny of the fashion critics, if Kelly hadn’t gone a notch ahead in the weirdness quotient by teaming her outfit with a grey, washed out bob hairstyle and pink pout. Even though she tried to compete with her contemporaries’ sartorial selections, she didn’t succeed at all; at least not after wearing a dress like that. Three words that perfectly sum up Kelly’s red carpet fashion sense: Unglamorous, disheveled and deplorable.
Thanks to uber chic celebs, like Amber Heard, Kirsten Dunst, Brittany Snow and others, who dazzled the fashion endowed night with their exquisite dresses, and saved us from seeing Kelly Osbourne and her unglamorous avatar.

Well, Kelly’s look did not our satiate fashion appetite
When the fashionista decked out in the shapeless and dramatic maxi gown with a gold leaf head embellishment, we were shocked to the hilt. It made us wonder that despite having many celebrity designers on her speed dial, why on earth she attempted to wear something awfully uncanny!
The first thing that went majorly wrong was her monochrome gown. The design itself was so unsymmetrical that it looked like she had wrapped a piece of cloth from a wizard clothing line. In an attempt to induce more glitz and glamor to her ensemble, she wore a gold embellished floral headband that too failed to exude any style.
Her outfit was lacking all the co-ordination and synchronization that was required in order to make that dress appealing. Losing her enviable silhouette in the structured maxi gown, Kelly’s dress was nothing but disaster.
Coming to her hairstyle and makeup that weren’t less disastrous than her outfit and accessories, she opted for a grey bob and a pink pout. Striking of the natural blonde hair color and wearing a grey, washed out hair shade was something that didn’t satisfy our fashion knowledge.

Kelly, you could have tried something else!
Many a times, even a single element is enough to ruin the glamor of the entire look. With her not-so glitzy dress, the biggest fashion blunder that Kelly made was to go for a grey bob and understated pout. The hint of purple on her grey hair looked cold all the way, and her pink pout too didn’t support her in uplifting the look. Her red carpet’s gothic ensemble displayed an indiscernible collaboration of an absurd gown with somewhat absurd accessories, hairstyle and makeup. Kelly could have carried it off better, if she would have done certain rectifications in her ensemble instead. For instance, the gown would have appeared more interesting if it was in a rather lighter shade, like pink or yellow or maybe silver. Also, she could have nearly nailed her outfit; if instead of having a pink pout and grey bob, she could have opted for an up do with a contrasting red pout.
It seemed like Kelly already had in her mind to wear a non-glamorous, unappealing ensemble. Otherwise, she couldn't have gone entirely wrong. Since Kelly herself has hit the low notes of fashion, she would now think twice before spilling out harsh comments on other A-listers’ fashion sense.
