Having received nothing from her divorce settlement other than child support, Katie Holmes is now looking to rebuild her personal brand and is doing everything she can to salvage whatever is left of her career in showbiz. With her return to Broadway all set, she is also making her debut in the world of fashion. According to sources, Katie Holmes will be presenting her own fashion line at the New York Fashion Week which begins next month. Katie launched the line way in 2009 along with her stylist Jeanne Yang and the label is sold worldwide via major retailers.
However, it seems like the newly single actress is looking to relaunch her label as a standalone brand and a showing at the prestigious event would certainly garner her the kind of buzz she needs to get started. Since the premiere fashion event would be attended by the very best in the industry as well as the world’s top most fashion editors and retailers, Katie would need to bring her A-game to the Fashion Week tents. Katie’s show was earlier scheduled to coincide with that of her good friend Victoria Beckham though it has now been clarified that the shows will indeed take place on different days.
