Wackiest shoes ever: Kobi Levi

Kobi Levi, an Israeli shoe designer, has designed a collection of heels that trigger to create a new piece comes when an idea, a concept and/or an image comes to mind. The blend of the image and footwear creates a new hybrid and the design/concept comes to life. The piece is a wearable sculpture. It is "alive" with/out the foot/body.

Kobi Levi crafts the shoes from leather, wood and metal, makes them according to his own shoe size and exhibits them around the world.

Israeli footwear designer Kobi Levi takes inspiration from furniture, fruit and even dogs. Kobi Levi worked in footwear in Italy, China, Israel and Brazil before designing his own line of creative shoes. His line is handmade and “absolutely” wearable.

Most of the motivation are out of the "shoe-world", and give the footwear an intense revolution. The result is usually humorist with a exclusive point of view about footwear. Another facet of the creation is the consciousness. All the pieces are hand-made in my studio. The challenging technical development is the key to bring the design to life in the best way.

Prices for these designer shoes start at around 500 pounds.
