Instructions

1. Tease your Hair

You need to give volume to your hair. For this you will have to tease the hair roots. This can be achieved by using a fine-tooth comb. If your hair is fine you will require dry shampoo. Apply dry shampoo to your hair and create texture. Applying dry shampoo helps in teasing your hair. Divide your hair into small sections and heave the comb up and down along two inches of the hair roots.

2. Tie a loose ponytail

After teasing your hair, gather them at the nape of your neck and tie a loose ponytail. It is advisable to use your hands for this and not a comb. This will ensure that the teased hair is lifted. Use a ponytail holder to secure the ponytail .

3. Make chignon

Now curl your hair upwards from the ponytail’s base and secure it with a few bobby pins. To hide your handiwork let about 2 inches of your hair your hair fall back over the ponytail which is pinned up.

4. Put barrette

Use an embellished bobby pin or a small rhinestone barrette to pin the remaining hair. Place these hairs over the base of the ponytail. Several choice of beautiful and colorful barrettes can be purchased from beauty supply stores and are not very expensive options. In order to ensure that the style doesn't fall, spray hairspray lightly on the hair style.

5. Loosen a few tendrils

These updos are more flattering and attractive if few pieces of hair or tendrils escape the twist. Pull out some face-framing tendrils with your fingers.
