Instructions:

1. Use Shampoos and conditioners meant for curly hair:

Always use shampoos and conditioners which are either meant for curly hair or for dry hair. Curly hair tends to be dry and thus using a shampoo meant for dry hair will help in improving the texture.

2. Air Dry Hair:

Instead of blow driers air dry your hair. After a bath don’t rub your hair vigorously with towel. Instead tie the towel around your head for some time so that it may soak extra moisture from your hair, and then let your hair loose.

3. Braiding Hair:

The best way to avoid frizz after a hair wash is to loosely braid your hair when the hair are still wet. When hair are almost dry than you can open the braids and let them air dry. It helps in curtailing unnecessary frizz and will give a nice curly look to hair.

4. Conditioning:

While as a rule people with curly hair should not wash their hair more than twice a week, they can condition their hair as many times as they can. Conditioning helps in restoring moisture to dry curly hair and hence makes them better. It is also advisable that once in a month you go for deep conditioning.

While conditioning hair in the shower comb your hair with your fingers first and than apply the conditioner from the mid length of hair till the ends. Remember conditioner is not meant to be applied in roots unless it is a deep conditioner.

5. Use of conditioning and styling products:

Such products must be used on wet hair when the hair is moist. When gel and conditioners are applied on wet hair, they seal in the moisture of water, making hair soft and manageable.

6. Be a proud head:

Last but not the least, next time when you see your straight haired neighbor, don’t go green with envy. Be assured that secretly she is envious of your lovely curls.
