In case you’ve forgotten, the Stuart Weitzman Annual Celebrity Shoe Auction, for the year 2008, has already started. Akin to the previous years, celebs have come up with some electrifying stuff! You might fall for some grandiose creations from Leighton Meester, Blake Lively, Ashley Simpson, Jada Pinkett Smith, Eva Longoria Parker, Rachael Bilson, Leelee Sobieski, Christie Brinkley and a lot of other stars and starlets. These are no ordinary shoes and they represent the characteristic megalomaniacal tastes of our celebs.
What makes these high-end stilettos special is that they are autographed by the stars themselves and come with the autographed photograph of the star. Let me tell you that personally I am not crazy to shell out some huge currency on autographed items of people whom the world would like to call ‘extraordinary’ because I find them extra ordinary (look at these celebs…some of them are so very dumb!) I would like to go in the lines of Academy Award winning screenwriter Diablo Cody who refused to wear a pair of these ‘masterpieces’ for the 2007 Oscar ceremony because apparently they were so very ostentatious ! But then, I think, since the auction is being done with a benign intention of promoting ovarian cancer research, I might as well bid on a pair…not to wear, but to adorn my showcase with!
