Nail art got a lot more strange since snake skin manicure became the latest vogue. But this nail art is not just another painted on facsimile, this is real snake skin applied on the nails with the help of a gel.
This unusual nail art has been created by nail artist Terri Silacci, a California-based manicurist who thinks using regular nail paints and designs is passé and fashion should move beyond it, at least those who dare to be adventurous and experiment with their style.
This snake skin manicure involves the use of actual snake skin that is cut into the size and shape of the nail, and then a varnish gel is applied to it. The skin is sealed using UV light and the entire process takes about three hours. The manicure lasts up to three weeks and a pedicure up to 12 weeks. The procedure costs around $ 300 for both hands.
