DuPont Automotive's new 2005 Color Popularity Report indicates an increasing indulgence in true colored cars. Also, it predicts that around 40 percent of consumers are likely to switch their car brands if they can't get the color they want.
Even after ruling the scenario, the silver phenomenon is not yet over. The rich color embraces many finishes, such as stainless steel, chrome and platinum still remains the emblematic color of new technology design and opulence.
The psyche behind the color preference is that the mind thinks of silver as a precious metal, like gold, but more attainable. Silver glistens, glimmers and sparkles.
