Pierre Cardin, the French icon is still passionate about fashion in the age of 84 years.
Pierre Cardin, said on his 84th birthday,
I have no regrets. If I had to start my career again with the same ambitions I had when I was 20, I would do it all again with enthusiasm.
He has made a vast empire in fashion industry in the last 60 years, licensing sales of some 800 products across 170 countries.
He has made his name in fashion, chain of Maxim's restaurants, perfumes, hotels, design and cultural institutes such as the Espace Cardin in Paris and the Chateau Lacoste in the Luberon, once the home of the Marquis de Sade.
He was the first man who bring fashion to the street.
The company has annual turnover of approximately 7.5 billion dollars. Challenge magazine ranked him 59th in 2005 among France's wealthiest people.
He maintains a personal museum, a warehouse with 3,500 square metres of space for clothes and the same again for furniture.
He will devote his work to the Paris's museum, Galliera in 2008.
