Lakme Fashion Week has selected ten participating designers to showcase their creations at various international fashion events across the globe.
Designer Sabyasachi has been selected to participate in the Olympus Fashion Week at New York in September 2006, while Manish Malhotra, Priyadarshini Rao and Surily Goel will be participating in the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Los Angeles, late in October this year.
Anshu Arora Sen, Rocky S and Savio Jon will showcase at the Singapore Fashion Festival in March 2007.
Nandita Mahtani, Sonam Dubal and Narendra Kumar Ahmed are the chosen trio who will display their creations at the Mercedes-Benz Australian Fashion Week.
I think this will help India to integrate with the global fashion market in a big way.
