One normally associates Krispy Kreme with mouth-watering treats of doughnuts. Grass (of the natural variety of course) is not something that comes to our mind. But you have got to hand it to their PR team for coming up with such an ingenious idea, after all any kind of attention is good! The brainwave behind the grass flip-flops is to re-introduce you to the natural habitat. Studies suggest that a walk in the park barefoot not only encourages circulation but also relieves stress. Krispy Kreme quizzed about a thousand UK workers and understood that most city dwellers felt better after relaxing with Mother Nature. Thus they put on their thinking caps and came out with the World’s First living grass flip-flops. The 5,000 grass blades take about three weeks to grow last for four months. The footwear is currently available in London to celebrate the summers and I’m in a bit of stress so I guess that calls for a trip to Her Majesty’s land. Sinful Chocolate cream doughnuts here I come for you; and of course the flip-flops too!
