We all eagerly devoured every detail of the royal wedding of Prince William and Princess Kate Middleton – right from what they were going to wear, the wedding cake, to the location of their honeymoon. Every new detail was big, big news!

But, there was something else which was very much talked about. This was the fascinating and unusual hats that the guests wore at the royal wedding. Amongst the guests was Princess Beatrice of York, who is the elder daughter of Prince Andrew, Duke of York and Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York. She wore an unusual hat which looked like the horns of a bull.
This salmon-color hat immediately drew attention of the guests and has now set a new record. The hat was auctioned at $130,767 to an unknown person and the proceedings from the bid will go to the Little Bee Initiative, a charity that Princess Beatrice set up specifically for the hat's auction. The aim was to raise money for UNICEF and Children in Crisis charities. After seeing the kind heart of the Princess we can now say “Long live the Princess”!
