The Cannes Film Festival 2011 is the perfect showcase for celebrities and famous people to show off their sexy figure, flaunt their super-expensive dresses, and try to look best with the most stylish makeup and latest hairstyles.
Hairstyle is one thing that can change your whole look instantly and that’s what the celebs at the Cannes did – they experimented with the latest hairdos. Right from ponytails and buns, to wild, extra-voluminous hair or messy hairdos, they did show it of all on the red carpet.

1.Cheryl Cole:
This sexy X-factor US judge made a stunning appearance at Cannes 2011 for the ‘Habemus Papam’ premiere in a white Stephanie Rolland couture gown. Her sexy and elegant hairdo was the best feature of her look. Her very tidy ponytail added oomph to her look as she is generally very casually dressed. She made heads turn with a perfect blend of sophistication and elegance.
2.Fan Bingbing
The talented singer and actress arrived at Cannes for the premiere of ‘Polisse’ and dazzled on the red carpet. She went for a 50s retro look in an elegant, white Elie Saab gown. Her dramatic make up sure grabbed eye balls but the best part was her spectacular hairdo – she’s the only one who’s tried the 50s look on the red carpet and was successful. She did her hair in a high bun with a prominent fall on the forehead rather than the face, which worked perfectly.
3.Gwen Stefani
Singer Gwen Stefani was spotted attending the premiere of ‘The Tree Of Life’ during the 64th Annual Cannes Film Festival. She wore a black Stella McCartney jumpsuit with sequins and a plunging neckline. Her make up did not suit her look at all – she wore a bright pink lip color and dark, cats eye make up – a complete mis-match. Although she could have saved herself from a fashion disaster if she had chosen the correct hair do, that possibility also went away after seeing her messy (read dry and frizzy) hairstyle. We think she was too lazy to comb her hair and left it as it is after a shower.
4.Astrid Berges-Frisbey
French television actress Astrid Berges-Frisbey’s appearance at Cannes surely made many fashionistas jealous. She chose to wear a white Chanel gown from the couture collection and minimal makeup. Her messy hairdo complimented her cute looks – her tresses were pulled to one side and left to fall freely on the other shoulder.
