The designers Alexander and Lehnert jewelers from North Carolina have come up with this unique idea not just for the sake of fashion but also to save the honeybees as they think even the tiniest thing on earth is worth. Each piece contains one-twelfth of a teaspoon of honey, which corresponds to the life's work of one bee and is beautifully filled in a glass container to give it a shape of wearable ornaments. The glass used to fill the container is completely leak proof so that the honey does not leak from the piece and create a mess.
The price of each piece of jewelry would be as low as $150 a piece and the whole sale profit would go directly new outreach effort known as the Buzz for the Bees campaign. the company aims to raise a minimum of $1m a year which will go toward research into bees and the community and educational beekeeping initiatives.
