American fashion guru Michael Kors has joined that battle against super-skinny models.
The renowned designer admits that he's sick of seeing unhealthy, waif-like girls on the catwalk and snubs anyone who looks unnaturally thin.
He comments, "Thin is fine but it has to be healthy. When I see a model come in and I look and I can tell this is not naturally how they're supposed to look, we don't book them."
Kors has been joined by the organizers of the Madrid Fashion Week in Spain, which starts next week (18 September 2006). They have insisted on all the models meeting the 18 scale of body mass index test.
Superthin catwalk star Fabiana, who has been rejected for the Madrid show says, 'I can't go because I'm too skinny for them.'
