Design inspired by endangered flower Cyclamen

Hats off to Diana Bobar, who thought that flowers are worthy of being transformed into designs. Her new Ready To Wear Spring’08 collection is inspired from Mediterranean flowers. One flower in particular is the Wild Cyclamen, which grows in different colors, has a tubular shape and beautiful flowing petals. Her collection is just like this flower- beautiful, exquisite, colorful and unique. The name Cyclamen is derived from a Greek word kyklamenos which means ‘a circular form’. Her dresses are also based on a circular form and all the embellishments are weaved around this form. This gives the dresses a smooth, flowing movement. What is clearly distinguishable is her wonderful choice of colors. Look at this dress for instance. It is painted in creamy white and accentuated with bright fushchia. A knee length dress made of light weight material and embellished with an off-shoulder, bright fushchia colored neckline is what we have. It looks absolutely gorgeous and ravishing. The dress resembles the flower quite closely. This one is perfect for a night out or even a luncheon with friends and family. It seems mother nature proved absolutely correct as an inspiration to furnish to her creative mind.
