The only style statement designer Martin Margiela made with his Spring/Summer '09 collection was - awful! Petrified demons descended the runway, wearing outrageous wigs and masks that took away the attention from the mediocre clothes. Maybe that was his strategy: draw all the attention to the horrible styling so that no one notices the ugly clothes! Anyway, the game’s up Martin and the verdict is out. The jury (me and my friends) has no qualms in declaring this showing horrendous. It’s a wonder he survived at Jean Paul Gaultier and Hermés, prior to this.
