Lenses with electronic circuit - this is stuff that James Bond movie scripts' are made of! Yes, it is true, Babak Parviz, an assistant professor of electrical engineering at the University of Washington, came up with the brilliant idea of contact lenses that contain electronic circuits. Parviz also intends to add microLEDs so that there is a display on the lenses. This is the best you can get when it comes to contact lenses! The prototype is being tested as of now and is being powered by radio waves and miniature antennas attached to the lenses and by solar cells. He hopes that it would enhance computing and gaming like never before. But this guy seems to have forgotten the immense amount of potential these lenses have in espionage and science-fiction! There is no news about the commercial availability of this little genius, but then, good things in life are worth waiting for!
