Collections by Givenchy and Chanel; straight from the ramps of Paris Fashion Week

Paris fashion week is an exciting place to be. Something unexpected always comes up and makes waves, rest is history. Well, after giving you the Dior, I am back to give you two more collections showcased in the fashion week. Let us start with Givenchy. Riccardo Tisci, who is the designer for Givenchy deserves a standing ovation for his fabulous and breathe-taking haute couture collection. Tisci is getting better with the age. On the first look, the collection does not seem to be a part of the haute couture but looks like some of the modern designer collection. But after focusing a little, we find those details and cuts that make the collection a beautiful haute couture one. We can't disagree that he has got his distinct style with which he captivates the audience.

He also has kept the trends of the season in mind, giving it a more functional twist. Nude colors are in and both these dresses are quite cool. He has very beautifully amalgamated white in these. I give him ten on ten. If you notice, the first one has a skirt that looks like a swans lower body and the second one has a jacket that looks like the skin of the alligator. Wonder, if he has taken inspiration from animals this time.

The black dress is a must have, but the way it has been supplemented with the fur coat, it looks great. However, I am totally anti-fur. I think that my guess is correct as the grey shirt too has feathers all over. Anyways, I loved this feathery idea.

This white and silver evening gown would be my favorite. Tisci has given draping a new form and life. Both of the gowns are gorgeous.

I love leopard prints and I liked the outfit except the tights. However, both of these dresses can be counted in a casual collection too but the color scheme is rather impressive.

Rounding up Givenchy here, we now move to Chanel and I am so excited to show you this. It's fun, lively and classic; all at the same time. Lagerfeld is a genius, no doubts about that, but I wonder why he sometimes ends up presenting funny clothes at such a high profile fashion show. Still, we all love him!

Take a close look and you'll see a lot of detailing on the sides of both of these outfits. I liked them and wanna thank him for making the models move in long boots as I had the notion that the trend has gone away.

I loved the blue outfit and didn't like the other one at all. I guess it's too dull to appeal to anyone.

Everyone won't agree with me but I found the black dress quite amusing. If I ever wear this, I'll have only one track playing in my mind, 'I'm like a bird' by Nelly Furtado. The white dress looks good and I am sure will be worn by some celebrity soon or later.

The navy blue dress is quite elegant and subtle yet trendy. Thus, it will look great on the red carpet and I am running out of words to describe the next. What was he thinking?

These two dresses are the worst I have ever seen or I have lost my style sense. I guess he was trying to make them look pure and beautiful like rabbits. Lolz! This can be my only expression for such dresses.
