As I had written earlier, Chinese fashion is all set to conquer the fashion world.
For the first time, clothes tagged 'Made-in-China', will be showcased on the most coveted runway of Milan.
To be displayed on the same day as legendary brands Gucci and Armani, Chinese fashion will be scrutinized by the well heeled of fashion world.
After competing with six other Chinese brands, clothing lines of two silk manufacturers, from Shanghai and Guangdong, have been chosen to showcase at Milan Fashion Week.
General Manager of Shanghai Silk Group Chen Chuan said, 'I have to admit, as far as design concepts and sales strategy are concerned, Chinese fashion has yet to catch up to the west. We brought eight brands, though only two were accepted. But we still held shows for the other six, outside the Fashion Week schedule. It's important for them to be seen.'
