1. Combine different textures

You can always mix black and brown with different textures and finishes. For instance, mix your black sweater skirt with a brown leather jacket and brown leather boots. Or wear a black silk blouse with brown jeans. You can also follow this rule with your make up. For this, use a dark black liner for your eyes and use a chocolate brown eye shadow. Smudge them for an ultimate sexy look. This would make you have a unique personality.

2. Shades

Since both black and brown are neutral colors, hence they can be easily mixed together. Make a rule that you have a lighter shade of brown color when you team it with black overalls or jeans. You can try leopard print as it is the classic mix-match between black and brown color. If you are ready to experiment and confident about the way you dress, then wear chocolate brown with black. But remember, this combination is difficult to wear with confidence and smile.

3. Accessorize

You can accessorize with both the colors. Wear brown belts on partly black jeans or have suede brown boots for your new black cardigan. Wear black earrings with a brown overalls or just have different shades of brown teamed up with your black dress. Try to wear a camel colored jacket with your black t-shirt or black overall or just go along with soft brown shoes with your black dress.

4. Brown on black and white

Black and white is one of the most famous combinations. If you have a pullover with black and white, then pair it white a nice plain brown jacket or break the fashion rule and go ahead with brown shoes with laces. Try a brown belt on the dress if you want to experiment more with the looks. You can also try and use tights or leggings in brown color with a black dress or vice versa.

5. Pairing solids and textures

Make sure that when you mix black and brown, you always mix a texture with a solid finish fabric. For instance, don’t mix plaids or polka together. Instead, mix them with a solid color. This way you would make yourself look more chic, fashionable and comfortable.

You can also mix up your jewelry for more versatility within your brown and black mix. You can also try brown pumps with a black suit or add a black bag to a brown blazer. Mix and match and stay stylish.
