Another Lady Gaga in making?

Do you remember Lady Gaga’s eccentric meat dress which she wore to 2010 MTV Music Awards? What if we tell you that the iconic (read disastrous) dress has been replicated? The students of the University of Cumbria, Carlisle have created an exact replica of the dress using real meat donated to them by Cranstons butchers to honor Lady Gaga. She is scheduled to visit the University as a part of broadcaster Radio 1’s Big Weekend.

The original dress was designed by Franc Fernandez, and it has been recreated by 20 students using sausages to reinvent Gaga’s fleshy fashion. The students crafted meat shoes and a sausage swirl headpiece, just like what Gaga wore to the MTV Awards. They stitched and tied together every part so that the meat stuck together, and then gave the perfect cut to the masterpiece. With the corset constructed from high quality lamb breast and the bust from Cumberland Sausage swirl, the dress is certainly one-of-a-kind.

Gaga is planning to play to a crowd of 20,000 music fans when she visits Carlisle on Sunday as part of Radio 1’s Big Weekend. She is expected to wear something as outrageous as what she wore to the MTV Music Awards last year.
