Open-toe shoes or 'peep-toes', as we call them, are highly fashionable and add a stylish and chic statement to your dressing style. Peep toes are the one shoe variety that are irresistible to women. They look sexy, sophisticated and make a style statement wherever you go. Whether summers or winters, with long or short skirts, with trousers, jeans or a cocktail dress, the different variety of peep-toe shoes add a hint of glamour to your wardrobe. They do go with everything that you wear, but still there are some tips that always come in handy when wearing peep toes. You do not want to be seen in a mismatched pair of shoes with that beautiful dress you wear on a special evening. Here are a few tips to help you wear those stylish 'peep-toes' and flaunt them in style.

1. Know your shoe size

It is imperative to know what shoe-size you are. Even if you do know it is always better to ask the vendor to measure your correct shoe size before making a purchase. Especially for peep toes you need to be extra careful as you do not want to make the wrong choice where you have one big toe sticking out of your shoe looking like 'big foot'! The length and width should be of the correct size so that your feet look like pretty little toes. If you do have big feet then you can buy shoes which give a glimpse of your toes or reveal a part of the toe next to your big toe. This way your feet will look pretty and you will get the "wow's" from everyone.

2. Pedicure your feet and flatten your legs

Think of wearing peep toes only if you have well pedicured feet. Do not wear open-toe shoes if you have dirty nails, chipped nail polish or unwaxed feet or legs. Peep toes do make your legs look beautiful but only if you also make an effort for them to look good.

Some people have an issue with their height and weight when selecting peep toes. They are either short or have thick legs. For them, choose such peep toes that are similar to your skin tone. These will make your legs look longer. Avoid contrasting colors like white or black, as these will immediately make your feet look shorter. Choose open toe boots that match the lowers you wear and choose such shoes that show more of your foot as that will make you look taller.

3. Peep toes for all seasons

During winters try wearing your peep toes with slacks, leggings or hosiery. The hosiery balances with the heavy sweaters that you wear, thus giving you a chic look rather than you walking like a big ball of wool. Do not wear your peep toes with socks. They kill the look of the shoes. For the summers, you have a variety of options to wear and flaunt those beautifully pedicured legs in your pencil skirts and peep toes.

4. Creativity is the key

You can be as creative as possible with your pair of peep toe shoes. Peep toes can be worn with any outfit, from short skirts to jeans, to pencil skirts, to cardigans, to tunics or denim shorts. You name it and peep-toe shoes would go stylishly with any outfit. Try out the different options and choose the best for you. Try wearing them in different colors as well as styles like boots, wedges, gladiators or high heeled sandals. Try matching your nail polish colors with the color of your peep toe. It is great fun!

5. Peep toe in your office

Some offices do not allow peep-toe shoes as they think it might be a little too revealing for the feet. So it is always better to take note of your office policies before you plan to wear them at your workplace. For a casual business meeting, peep-toe shoes would do just fine. Keep a check on your office dress code before you flaunt your new peep toes!
