Eliza Cummings is the face of Fenton’s Spring ’13 Collection

Eliza Cummings has come a long way from being having to drop out of school because of bullying. Dubbed the new “it” girl on the UK fashion scene, Cummings has become one of the most coveted young models in the industry. She captured the imagination of the industry with her resemblance to Elvis Presley and the model is famed for her boyish looks. With several major editorials and runway gig to her credit, it was no surprise that US-based jewelry label Fenton was eager to have her front the ad campaign for their Spring 2013 collection.

Created by designer Dana Lorenz, the collection is marked by a number of fantastical pieces that idealize extravagance and ooze with outrageousness. Created for folks who love color, the sculptural and bold, pieces stand out for the exaggeration and illusion they create through the play on color. Cummings had flown into New York for just a day to walk the runway for Marc Jacobs and Sharif Hamza shot the images a few hours before her call time to suit her schedule.

In the first released print for the campaign, Cummings is seen wearing an oversized candy-like trinket that showcases the collection’s departure from the more gothic-inspired collections of the past. The collection also derives its lines from the structured chunky jewelry designed by Ambaji Shinde for Harry Winston in the ‘50s and ‘60s. The entire collection would be available through Fenton’s own newly launched online store this spring.
