DIY artwork can be practiced and perfected on various objects. It involves the using of materials in a different way that are usually close at our hand. Here, the project involves decorating a normal bangle by wrapping yarns around it. It requires very few items to work with, helps you save your money and adds to the variety of your accessories without any actual addition to the collection! So, are you ready to start doing something that will not only enhance your creative skills but also add on to your style statement?

Difficulty level
Moderately difficult.
Time required
Around 1 hour.
Resources required
The resources required depends on the design you have chosen to work on. The more complicated the design, the more will be the resources needed. But, as this is a moderate level work, the resources required are less.
1. The flat bangle to work on.
2. Yarns in grey, black and dark blue (or colors of your choice).
3. Scissors, and
4. Glue.
Estimated cost
Again the cost depends mainly on the design chosen. As this is a moderate level design, it involves only three colored yarns. The more complicated the design, more resources you require and more is the cost involved.
Instructions
1. Estimation
Make three equidistant marks on the bangle, so that they are joined to create a triangle. The markings help you in getting an idea of the total design once it is done. Before creating a disaster and wasting a good amount of the yarn without any estimation, it is wise to mark the design on the bangle so that you can get the opportunity to change your design according to your liking without wasting your resources, time and energy.
2. Joining by glue
Start gluing one end of a yarn, suppose the grey one, from the inner side of the bangle. The yarns should be carefully glued from the inner side so that the ends are not seen which will ultimately destroy the look of the bangle.
3. Wrapping
Now start wrapping up and push the yarn closer to one another. The closer the yarns are and the more they cover the surface of the bangle, the more beautiful will be the design on the bangle.
4. Cutting
After you reach the next marked point, make use of the scissor and cut the yarn and glue it on the inside of the bangle again. Wait till the glue dries up. If you start working before it dries up, it will get stuck with the second thread and will make a mess. Again, start at the same point from the inner side of the bangle with the second yarn. Wrap this yarn like the previous one and push the yarn closer to one another like you did in the previous case.
5. Repeat
Repeat the same procedure with the third yarn. Starting at the inner point of the bangle, pushing the yarns close and gluing the end again in the inside part of the bangle.
Now when the glue dries, get ready to wear your bangle!
Frequently asked questions
Question: What type of bangles can we work on?
Answer: It can be any type of bangle. But please avoid glass bangles because it is not only difficult to mark designs on them but in case they break, your creativity and hard work will go down the drain. So, plastic bangles are strongly recommended for this.
Question: Why only yarns?
Answer: Yarns are neither thin, like threads, nor are they too thick. So, they work well for making designs and can be easily handled as well.
Quick tips
1. With these three colored yarns, you can make a variety of designs by making marks so that you can place the threads alternately.
2. You can also use many other colors and make it more attractive. But, make sure that the selection of colors should compliment your persona and appearance.
Things to watch out for
1. If the design ends with the end of a yarn on the outer side of the bangle, trim the yarn so that it remains on the inner side of the bangle. If the end of a yarn is seen on the outer side of the bangle, it will damage the look of the design and will not look neat and impressive.
2. Make sure that the yarns are pushed tight and close to one another as loosely placed yarns might reveal parts of the surface of the bangle.
