Check out the instructions below for a step-by-step procedure.

Difficulty level: Easy
Time required: 1 hour
Estimated cost: Relatively cheap
Resources required:
1. Preparing the felt
a. Draw a circle with 3 inches of diameter on a paper or a chart. This is your sample pattern that fits the area around your ears. You may change the size accordingly.
b. Keep the sample pattern on the felt material and draw the outline with a marker. You need four such felt materials for two sides of the ear muffs on both sides.
c. Cut the felt materials along the circular markings with a scissors. You should have four circles of felt at the end of this step.
2. Preparing the fur
a. Fur is the actual material that is exposed to the outer portion of the ear muffs.
b. Use the same circular pattern created for preparing the felt and mark the outline on the inner side of the fur material.
c. Cut the fur material along the markings with a scissors. Similar to the felt, you must have four circular fur materials at this point.
3. Combining fur and felt materials
a. Place the felt material on the inner side of the fur material and pin them together. Do this for all the four pieces.
b. Mark two points with a circumferential distance of about 1 inch on all the four pieces.
c. Take two pieces at a time and place them together in way that the felt material on both the pieces faces each other. Therefore, the fur material will obviously face opposite sides.
d. Pin these two pieces with bell pins for easy sewing. Do the same for the other pair too.
e. Make sure that you pin them rightly leaving gap between the two marked points.

4. Sewing
a. Take one pair of pinned pieces and sew them along their circumference.
b. Don't cross the marked points so that the final piece has a gap of an inch. This gap will later help you to insert the headband and cotton.
c. Use the gap to pull out the furry side. The final piece should have the furry side outside and felt material inside. Do the same for the other piece too.
5. Inserting sponge or cotton
a. Now you have the ear muffs almost ready. At this point, you just need to insert fluffy cotton through the one inch gap.
b. Insert the optimum amount of cotton inside the ear muff. Do the same for both the ear muffs.
c. At this point, the ear muffs are ready.
6. Preparing the headband
a. Create a sample rectangular pattern similar to one made for felt. The length of this pattern should match with the linear length of your headband.
b. Similar to the creation of ear muffs, sew the inner sides of the fur material along the longest side.
c. Sew only one side of the smallest edge. Leave the other side open.
d. Insert the headband through this open side and then seal it by sewing.
e. The headband is ready at this point.
7. Uniting the headband and earmuffs
a. This is the final stage of the creation. Insert the headband into the ear muffs with one piece on either sides.
b. Make sure that the headband is at least inch inside the ear muff on both sides.
c. Using needles and threads, hand sew the gaps in the ear muffs along with the headband.
d. The furry ear muffs are complete at this point.
