Interested in designing your pair of shoes? Now you can do that at the store window of Bloomingdales at NYC. You can customize your pair of flip-flops perfect for this summer from June 27 onwards.
Havaianas and Bloomingdales have collaborated to come up with an interactive kiosk where you can design and order your pair of Havaianas yourself. All you have to do is to walk into their store, and simply ‘tap’ on the touch screen to choose your desired shade, sole, straps and style. Once you finish the order, you will receive a confirmation number as a QR code or by a text message on your phone. You also have an additional option to share your favorite design with your friends and family by posting it on your profiles on social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter. Next, you have to walk to the kiosk on the second floor to meet with a friendly sales associate who will give you your precious flip flops designed by you. These flip slops may be slightly more expensive, but well worth it for their personalized design.
This unique interactive app has been created by Concrete Kreative for Havaianas. Jeff Belizaire, the Head of Digital Strategy at Concrete Kreative believes that interactive apps such as this one enables customers to make use of their creative ablities to come up with their own products. This is the second time Bloomingdales are experimenting with an interactive venture. They had already offered a chance to their customers to create their own pair of sunglasses earlier this year.
Creative and interactive ventures such as this one are a sure shot way to attract smart and suave customers who get a ‘kick’ out of creating their own products. Folks, get ready to flaunt your own creations in the near future!
