Fashion weeks are admittedly all about the clothes. But that doesn’t necessarily mean that shoes are relegated to the background. Most fashion week footwear shows are mostly all about collaboration and the Casadei for Prabal Gurung Spring/Summer 2013 collection is right up there with the best partnerships in fashiondom. Cesare Casadei of the label Casadei has created two sensational shoes for Gurung's spring 2013 line and it happens to be the Italian’s first collaboration with an American designer.
Casadei used a reinterpretation of his label’s signature Blade wedge to create two eye-pleasing designs for Gurung. The modern and innovative designs are empowering, sleek and sexy and help highlight the wearer’s foot delicately. The Italian designer has bestowed his signature galvanized silver blade heel on each style of one of which comes with Lucite wedge.
This pump features a delicate mesh-covered toe and is crafted in patent leather offering a degrade effect. The mesh pump is offered in red, black, gray and white shades. The other shoe in the line is a patent-leather with snake skin sandal which is stunning because of its unassuming simplicity. Blending innovation with true artistry, the mesh pointed-toe style shoe from the Casadei for Prabal Gurung line will be retailed for $900 while the snakeskin sandal will retail for $1,000.
