The movie whirls around a Melbourne boy, Tommy Matisse (Dan Spielman) who studies at the Royal Academy in London. Abbie Cornish, plays the role of his younger sister, Emma who suffers and dies from a fatal drug overdose at a local dance party. The sudden death of Emma imprints some negative impacts on his relationship with his girlfriend Alysse (Leanna Walsman). One Perfect Day is one of the most important films that helped shape Abbie Cornish's acting career.
